Company Profile

The Community Chest Service Center (CCSC) was created by a vision of its founder Dwayne Moore. An Oxon Hill native, he grew up during the time where the phrase “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child” was literally a way of life. He grew up during a time where neighbors and close friends were considered family.  It was not uncommon to be sent to a neighbor’s house and pick up a cup of sugar, some butter, and/or milk. Children played all day; and once they became a certain age, they often would observe and admire the work effort of the adults of the neighborhood. These adults would instill work ethic, survival skill, and general knowledge of basic labor skills. With this as his core, once Dwayne became of age, he always felt it was his duty to give back. Although outside resources could help people, he felt that the community could always pull from each other to be successful. With that thought, The Community Chest Service Center was born.

Its main purpose is to educate, mentor, and assist the community when and where needs arise. This non-profit consists of Dwayne and members of his family and friends, who have come together and agreed; that not only does a village raise a child, but this village can raise and maintain a community! To achieve this; CCSC has cultivated vocational classes, mentor programs, food and clothes drives, and participates in a variety of health drives. Specialists from a variety of backgrounds have agreed to pour their expertise into this effort to help the generations that follow, to a promising future. We believe that the community is filled with jewels that all have worth. Some may need a little more refining than others,  but all have a great worth! We welcome you to join us by either spreading the word, donating your time, providing a donation, or simply by agreeing with our vision BY POURING back into your personal community.
